Preschool
At Life Christian Academy our preschool provides young children with developmental childhood experiences in a positive, loving environment. Activities include: indoor and outdoor play, interactive academics, Bible lessons, creative projects, music, and special events. We offer partial, full, and extended day programs for children three and older.
PreK
Preparing for kindergarten, PreK students continue to build on the core academic skills established in the Preschool classes. Students learn Bible lessons each day while the curriculum builds early literacy, math and language skills. Through imaginative and creative play times, all children continue to grow socially and academically.
Sample Daily Full Time Schedule
- 8:20 a.m. – Class doors open
- 8:30 a.m. – Class begins
- Welcome activities
- 9:00 a.m. – Bible Time
- Bible lesson, memory verses, prayer, and songs
- 9:15 a.m. – Center Time
- Art, blocks, books, housekeeping center, learning games, math manipulatives, play dough, puzzles, sand & water table, and science area
- Art projects, Bible lessons, letters, and numbers are a part of center time
- 10:10 a.m. – Learning Skill Circle Time
- Colors, counting skills, letter & number recognition, phonics, and shapes
- 10:30 a.m. – Snack Time
- 10:45 a.m. – Recess
- Large and small motor skill activities
- 11:15 a.m. – Lunch
- 11:45 a.m. – Quiet Time
- 12:15 p.m. – Wake up Free Time
- 12:45 p.m. – Recess
- Large and small motor skill activities
- 1:05 p.m. – Center Time
