It is my absolute pleasure and privilege to be the elementary principal at Life Christian Academy, where I have served for 11 years in multiple roles, including high school assistant principal, director of spiritual life, and Bible teacher. During much of this time, I have also taught as an adjunct faculty member for Pacific Lutheran University in their continuing education department and Northwest University in their Bible Department. When not teaching, I love spending time with my wife, Kerri; three daughters, Abby, Anna, and Chloe; and friends.

Kerri Gentile

My family has been part of the Life Christian family since 2007 when my husband Aaron began teaching at LCA and my oldest daughter enrolled in preschool. I began teaching kindergarten at LCA in 2014. Previously, I taught at a local public school and helped oversee the early childhood program at Life Center. Aaron and I have three daughters who attend LCA: Abby, Anna, and Chloe. I enjoy spontaneous adventures with my family and friends, coffee, movies, and the beach.

I have been a teacher for over 22 years. I taught first grade for 20+ years in the Tacoma School District and was a Math/Literacy Intervention Specialist for K/1. In 2015, God led me to begin teaching at Life Christian Academy. My daughter, Lauren, attended LCA for 14 years, graduated in 2016, and now attends Seattle Pacific University. I am blessed to be able to teach with such wonderful teachers, families, and students. When I am not in the classroom I enjoy spending time with family and friends.

Karey Scheuffele

BA in Elementary Education (K-8) with a Minor in Literacy (K-12) from Central Washington University

While the 2016-2017 school year is my first year teaching at LCA, God placed this calling on my life at the age of 16 and I have been on the educational path since, working in childcare through children’s ministry at Life Center and as a nanny for 7 years. God is always faithful and I know His favor is upon this school. I feel blessed to come to work every day and I pray I am a vessel for Jesus to bless my students through me. Teaching children is one of the biggest passions in my life and I feel fulfilled every day I am able to do so. I also find immense joy in doing anything crafty or DIY, decorating my home, and shopping for a good bargain. I love to spend time with my family when I am not teaching my first graders.

Second Grade

Haley Rastovski

After receiving my degree and beginning my career, it became clear that what I really wanted to do was work with kids. I moved to Texas, earned my teaching certificate, and worked as a youth pastor. I eventually moved back to Washington and got married in March 2015. This is my first year at LCA teaching 2nd grade, and we are having so much fun!

Third Grade

Kevin Schultz

BA in Psychology from University of Washington.  Teacher Certification K-8 and Masters of Education from University of Washington, Tacoma.  My teaching journey began almost 30 years ago on the slopes of Crystal Mountain.  Little did I know at that time how God was orchestrating my path.  I’ve now spent almost 20 years teaching elementary school students and feel extremely blessed to be here at LCA!  I love the small community and with that the opportunity to build meaningful relationships through the love of Jesus!  I have two fabulous daughters, one of which is an elementary school teacher, and an amazing wife.  I look forward to coming here every day to see how the Lord is going to surprise me.

Phyllis Wyatt

God opened a door and blessed me with becoming a partner to the families here at LCA—first teaching kindergarten, and now teaching 3rd grade. I have worked with children in daycare and preschool for 18+ years. I completed my student teaching here at LCA, where I fell in love with the families and staff. I have been blessed to be a mother and that love and nurture also extends to kids in my class. I love getting to know them, their families, and helping them learn and grow. I am married to my wonderful husband of 13 years and we have 4 beautiful children.
